Space Agency Posters & Mailer—Space Agency, a non-profit architectural initiative, had a problem with their public exposure. They wanted to bring awareness to issues of public space through their public events. As a team of three designers (Kathy Chung, Albert Hsieh, and myself), our goal was to establish a promotional system to advertise their public events with posters and mailers. The concept was to devise a series of symbol-based illustrations relating different ideas of public space to entice the viewer to visit Space Agency’s website. All artwork and custom lettering was drawn using isometrics to unify the visual language over a five year period. The final posters were to be screen printed over old blue prints relating the architectural nature of the events. The mailers functioned as a brochure with information about each event, and once unfolded, had a poster printed on the back if the recipient would like to hang it on their wall.
